Domaine Dupont

Die Domaine Familial Louis Dupont erstreckt sich über 30 ha inmitten der Normandie, im Herzen des Pays d´Auge. Auf der Domaine werden Cidre, Pommeau und Calvados hergestellt.
Schon bei meinem ersten Besuch in der Normandie fiel die Domaine Dupont durch ihre breite Produktpalette und die herausragende Qualität auf. Es gibt nicht sehr viele Calvados-Produzenten, die sich auf die Calvadosherstellung spezialisiert haben und damit ihren Lebensunterhalt verdienen. Etienne Dupont ist dabei stets der unruhige Geist, der immer bestrebt ist, Neues zu probieren oder effektiver zu arbeiten. So wird nicht nur das Kühlwasser der Destille im Winter zum Beheizen der Räume genutzt. Dupont ist auch der einzige Produzent, der seinen Cidre 6 Monate lang im Calvados-Fass reifen läßt! Mit einem einmaligen und unvergleichlichen Ergebnis!
In Deutschland ist Dupont noch relativ unbekannt, in Frankreich beliefert er die gehobene Gastronomie.
